The harvest is going great! The beautiful weather in August and September has helped the grapes ripen perfectly. We are putting all our efforts into harvesting the grapes for each wine at the optimal ripening moment. We have a wonderful team of people who are helping and supporting us during this delicate and crucial time

The grapes for our AVRESIR 2023 Reserve are slowly ripening. The vintage is very challenging due to the heavy rains which greatly complicated the vineyard work: but our heroes at Villa Calicantus have managed to handle the vine vegetation excellently to obtain high-quality grapes as every year!

All our soils originate from moraine deposits, hence from the last glaciation that formed Lake Garda. They are limestone soils, devoid of clay, with lots of sand and silt. Depending on the location, you can find many stones that help to drain even the heaviest rains. These soils allow us to focus not so much

Our Riserva, Bardolino Superiore AVRESIR comes from a small vineyard on a high hill in the heart of the Bardolino wine area, few km from lake Garda. As an organic and biodynamic winery in Bardolino, lake Garda, we are proud to be only one (at the moment…) to age 2 years in barrels the Bardolino wine.

We are preparing the ground for a new vineyard that will be dedicated to our rosé, Bardolino Chiaretto.
